two great books!

I've read a lot of history and a lot about the Tudors. Usually I don't like historical novels but this is great! She's got the facts right and her interpretation makes these two books a wonderful read. Can't wait for the final installment!

I kept forgetting it is fiction, almost trusted it as a true historical source because it is so good, sounds so real. I felt inside the story. Beautiful.

Wolf Hall......so far!

Yes I like it, so far! I am well into "Wolf Hall" and I enjoy a 'novel', which is wrapped in a blanket of historical accuracy, which this book certainly is. Following the life and times of Thomas Cromwell is engrossing, as it not only encompasses his life but also the lives of the people around him, and those whose lives he influenced.
Hilary Mantel encaptures the 'feeling' of the years of Henry VIIII and everyone around him, so yes, I am reading with enthusiasm at the moment, but am still a long way from completing both books..........so watch this space!!
